This says it all! I just say a trailer for 2million minutes www.mminutes.com which is a documentary of high school in America, India, and China. The drive of the Indians and Chinese is so passionate and, with the numbers, it has to be. What drives American kids? The promo also mentioned www.EDin08.org for politicians. Ck it out.

I found it very compelling because it crystallizes how different this generation of learners are. Take a look at this website about the skills that 21st century learners will need:

When I viewed this video, I got chills. Because I recognize my students. I heard some of the complaints that they make daily. And I recognize the scope of the challenge that I have, to prepare myself to help them feel some relevance about school while they are in my classroom. I feel a New Year's resolution rising in mind. I don't know what form it will take yet, but I truly appreciate your video as a factor for reflection in the process. Sincerely, Diana
