Dear Professor,
You are correct... I asked a zillion questions, and have as many specific criteria to fulfill. Our school needs so many things at this time my assistant principal is spinning. We have a large high school, recently divided into 5 small learning communities by the Gates Foundation. We are a School Under Regents Review (SURR) in danger of closing because of AYP and other concerns. Our tech program was the original reason the school existed (New York School of Printing), but several reorganizations and State/City/District/School-based management changes have put this school through the pedagogical wringer, it's hard to predict the future of the school. The NYC department of education is going through its own changes, so it is impossible to predict anything about the school at this time.
When I can report/ask something more clearly, I will. Happy New Year. Diana
Dear Prof. McVey, Congratulations on your new position. I checked out your website, and from the looks of it, you are having way too much fun. It is a great challenge, and I hope you enjoy it. The ISTE book may be a good place to begin. Do you have any suggestions for material, other than the Adobe websources, for 9-12 Creative Suite lessons in a CTE school? Most of the material is too complex for our learners; I am starting from scratch and reinventing the wheel constantly. Thanks. Diana
